Only 2 stars, would give 0 to Gill who we were unfortunate enough to encounter on our final check up. Such a shame as the other reception staff were extremely helpful & went over and above. Excellent service from the vets too, expensive but i felt my dog was in good hands. Such a shame Gill lets the team down with her sour face & bad attitude. Dont appreciate being spoken down too by admin esp after hvg spent the best part of a thousand pounds. Couldnt recommend esp with big dogs as was made to feel unwelcome & awkward (after hvg paid obvs lol) Shame on you Gill. Having more than 1 dog you also cost the practice money as i wd avoid in the future. Do everyone a favour & retire, you cleatly dont want to be there.

My dog loves visiting Rutland House, the staff are lovely and make such a fuss of him, he can't wait to get in to see them, literally drags me through the door.

Brilliant support and guidance from Stuart when so concerned about our dog, so pleased with how he dealt with us! Really reassuring during a worrying time, such a kind guy! Made a traumatic experience as calming as could be!

Rutland House staff are all really caring and kind to Vera when she visits. They take time to settle her and also provide the information needed for us as pet owners to make fully informed decisions around her health and wellbeing, such as the timing of her spay and vaccines. They promote best practice and Vera's even helping doing her bit on their social media. 🐾

Would highly recommend Rutland House Veterinary Hospital. Everyone really helpful, and friendly. I purchased a kitten pack which I found to be excellent value for money. The advice they give is really good, from reception staff to vet.

A wonderful place. The staff are so friendly and the vet I saw called Ted was incredible with me and my 3 dogs. He was so kind, patient and caring. I can’t recommend this practice enough.

Our first time coming here yesterday due to an emergency with our dachshund Stan - the receptionist we spoke to was so lovely and gave us the advice we needed. Got booked in to see the vet within an hour. The receptionist’s are so friendly and so are all the staff who work at this hospital. Stan was treated by Charlie & Ellie and I couldn’t recommend them enough! Such lovely girls and so informative with everything / amazing with Stan. Would highly recommend Rutland House - thank you for all your help☺️

We recently made the decision to say goodbye to our beloved dog, Amber. Dr. Bart Ropelewski was incredibly compassionate every step of the way. He did everything he could to try to save her and gave us the time, space, and support we needed to make the right decision for her. You could see how much he genuinely cares — not just as a vet, but as a true animal lover. His kindness, honesty, and calm presence made an unbearable moment a little more bearable. He went above and beyond for Amber and for us. I would absolutely recommend the vet’s specialist team — they explained everything clearly, took the stress of the insurance claim off our shoulders, and treated Amber with the love and dignity she deserved. We’re forever grateful.

I have used this Veterinary service for over 30 years they are not the cheapest but my goodness they are the very best from front of house always have a smile to their brilliant vets Thank you Rutland house
