The clinic appears set up for both routine care and more urgent presentations, with owners describing staff acting immediately for time-critical problems (for example, a dog choking and a cat brought in after a car accident). Reviews also repeatedly mention clear explanations and plans (“a plan, and even a back up plan”), with follow-up communication during stressful waits (messages and calls with updates) and practical help such as lending a crate during recovery.
From the clinic website and recent reviews, services and capabilities mentioned include
Out-of-hours/emergency cover: the website states emergency cover is provided through Vets Now Liverpool.

I think it is worth noting this practice is owned by the senior vet. They really do love the animals here, and they are always trying to advise ways to save a bit of money without compromising my little buddy's health. I am very happy with them, and doggo loves all of the staff.

Absolute diamonds these vets. My dog had a choking incident and after attempting everything we had to take him to a vet and these vets jumped to our aid. We weren't registered but yet they dropped everything there and then to help us with our dog. Fortunately my dog managed to dislodge the chew and it was all okay. But these guys were ready as soon as we got there . Thank-you so much from all our family and of course our dog Odin. Best wishes this Christmas and for New year.

Would recommend this to a friend. The vet was lovely but the receptionists were very rude and didn’t acknowledge us only the people with smaller dogs or cats. There is a receptionists on there that is lovely and really friendly but the 2 ladies that where there this night where not.

10/10 for the whole team, words can't thank you enough for everything you have done I brought my cat in on Monday as she wasnt herself, the Reception Team and the Vet were amazing, made sure I knew everything and we had a plan, and even a back up plan I took Bailey home after her treatment on Monday and whilst she showed some improvement, something wasnt quite right with her so I rang the Vet team again who made sure Bailey had an appointment within an hour of me calling. When arriving it was decided that it would be best for Bailey to stay there, so they could run some tests on her and figure out what was wrong It was the worst 5 hours of my life, going home without her and waiting for that phone call, but come 6pm they had messaged me to say she was ready and I could take her home! They brought her to me within a few minutes of me arriving, explained everything they had done, showed me all the results and talked me through everything - Turns out Bailey had an infection so they provided me with all the medication needed and they even gave me some special food to help her digestion Amazing service - literally do not have a bad word to say about any of my experience, they were amazing throughout Thank you so much to the Reception Team, Mehmet, Emily and everyone else who looked after my fur baby

Today is one of the most painful days ever. I needed to visit the Vet today as my Eddie was very unwell due to his age. His body was starting to fail him. Sharon was so compassionate and understanding whilst I was struggling to even consider letting my boy go. Michelle (Vet) was so very kind and understanding. Our Vet (Michelle) was so very professional and did so much to help us feel supported. The care provided to Eddie was exceptional and also the care and love shown to us and our baby boy was kind and of the highest standards. Not sure if Head Office read these reviews but your staff in St Helens are all wonderful, kind, understanding. Sharon went up and beyond helping me with arrangement as I arrived and called from my car. The Nurse, I could not remember her name but she was excellent and so very reassuring. They helped make it all very special for Eddie, even down to the bandaged with a Red Heart on it, really was a thoughtful and very kind. They way they reassured Eddie with so much LOVE, touched my heart, they all (those who entered the room) showed him so much love and compassion. I was so very worried and a little scared, and even whilst I type this, I wish I was with him stroking and kissing him. Eddie has enriched my life, I have loved him from the very first day we met and I become his daddy over 10 years ago. Eddie was almost 16 and one of the most loving, kindest and cuddliest beagles I have ever met. I called out his name this evening, as I wanted to pretend he was here with me, yet silent My life will never be the same and I do feel we did the right thing, helping our precious boy on with his new journey in heaven. Thank you Vets4Pets for all of your love today. When I visit to collect his ashes, I will try not to cry. Sorry if any spelling mistakes as tears in my eyes whilst I am typing this but THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for looking after my Eddie.

Can’t fault anything. They are brilliant with our Cats and we appreciate all the staff. The pay per month really helps us out with making sure all our 4 cats are protected, and get the care they need. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you

My cat was hit by a car in the middle of December and needed life saving care. I found him outside of the house bleeding from his foot and crying and called ahead and rushed him there. When we arrived they were already on standby to take him immediately into the back to commence treatment. He was cold and we weren't sure how long he had been there before I found him. They warmed him up, provided pain relief and checked regularly on me. I was offered a drink, a quiet room to sit and was kept up to date at every moment. I couldn't sit so I watched the fish instead. Due to his needs he was transferred to a vet hospital and even though he was insured, it was running out quickly. The vet nurse Emily called me regularly helping me with transfers and finding him the care he needed even when he was no longer with them. The lovely receptionists treated me with care and handled my continuous phonecalls with such empathy. For a week I was on and off the phone organising his care and I never received anything but helpful advice and sympathy from vets4pets. He needed crate rest and I was offered to borrow one from one of the lovely ladies at the desk saving me from having to buy one. I brought him in today and it seems he is finally able to start walking around again and I can put it down to the actions of fhe team at vets4pets. Every step of the way I felt supported beyond what I could have asked for. They truly care about the animals they see. Bringing him in today and seeing everyone as happy as I am with his recovery was just fabulous. Mehmet is the vet we often see and he has such a friendly and concise demeanor but my favourite bit is that he clearly loves animals. The vet nurse Emily also put in huge work and was a massive part of getting Stromboli the care he needs. Her enthusiasm for her job is unmatched. Thank you Vet4pets St Helens for everything you have done for me and my boy Stromboli.

Best vets ever!!!! I recently adopted a new kitten and have had all her vaccines, as well as having her booked in for her spaying. I have never had a negative experience with anyone or anything when at this vet. The receptionists are always so friendly and welcoming and absolutely sweet, and the vets are always very down to earth and knowledgeable. They pass on their knowledge in simple terms, making it reassuring and easy to understand what is happening and the procedures that your pet may go through. They are the most thorough and kind and patient staff, even when my cat can get a little nervous or shy. There’s never any rush and they’re committed to a pets health and wellbeing. We also had a dog who unfortunately passed in 2019, and we had a very comforting and kind experience with having him put to sleep. I can honestly say these people work out of the love and respect for animals and cannot praise them enough for their kindness and compassion for animals and their human companions. Thank you!!! I will continue to come for anything my cat may need and I honestly cannot recommend them enough :)

We cannot thank the amazing staff here enough. We have always been at Vets4pets throughout our dogs life, but only moved to the St Helens 6 months ago. The staff are friendly and very caring. Sadly we lost our little girl recently due to bone cancer and the staff were amazing right to the very end. A special mention to vets Mehmet, Clare, and receptionist Becky who couldn’t do enough to help us.
